French TV licensed Andrew's still life of genetic research for Sir John B Gurdon and Shinya Yamanaka's pioneering work into stem cells and the pair's subsequent success picking up this year's nobel prize for medicine.

Also this year his image of an ion trap taken at NPL was used by the BBC to illustrate quantum physic's pioneers Serge Haroche and David Wineland's success in winning the Nobel Prize for Physics for their work into light and matter.
